Books 2009. A book on contemporary behavior for Clarkson Potter. The title is: “What to
do When No One Has a Clue.” Pub date is Spring, 2010. The book addresses the fact
that the old rules no longer apply and we are faced with baffling new situations, like

My first book was published In 1996. The book is a fresh and funny look at modern motherhood : “Because I’m the Mother, That’s Why”, subtitled “Mostly True Confessions of Modern Motherhood”. It was published by Delacorte and optioned four times by Twentieth Century Fox for a sitcom. I co-wrote the pilot scripts.
In 2000, “Vegetables Rock!” for Bantam Book. This practical advice book was written for vegetarian teenagers (who needed lots of information) and their non-vegetarian parents (who needed lots of reassurance). The New York Public Library selected “Vegetables Rock!” as one of their Best Books for Young Adults. Foreign rights were sold in five countries and the book was quoted in The New York Times.

My next book, “You have To Say I’m Pretty, You’re My Mother”, was co-authored in 2003 with a New York psychotherapist and published by Simon & Schuster. This timely book about adolescent body image issues led to appearances on The Today Show and on major network television and radio programs. There was a national speaking tour and the book was the subject of a feature article in The New York Times. It was translated into four languages.
My latest book, published in 2006, was “Males, Nails, Sample Sales”. The subtitle of this book is: “Everything A Woman Must Know To Be Smarter, Saner, Savvier Sooner”. Published by Simon & Schuster, it is currently in its third printing.
It has been sold at Anthropologie since it first came out.
I have been a ghostwriter for Larry Forgione’s “An American Place” (Ann Bramson, editor), for Robert Searles’ cookbook for kids (Meredith), for Perla Myers’ “Spur of the Moment” cookbook. My magazine pieces have been anthologized in the Saveur cookbooks.
